As the caliber of our technology grows, the methods we interact with it are expected to progress in parallel. However, there is a lack of attention to Human Factors (or the physical, psychological, and cognitive requirements) that prevent current computer interfaces from being inherently intuitive, resulting in multiple design iterations before recognizing their utility, costing time, money, and staff effort. My research focuses on unveiling the cognitive capabilities of users (particularly the older population) to provide a set of guidelines/best practices for User Interface/Experience (UI/UX) designers.
