The Illinois Postbaccalaureate Research Program (IPRP) aims to cultivate a generation of professionals who are not only academically adept but are also reflective of the diverse backgrounds and perspectives that fuel innovation and progress in the biomedical sector. This one-year program offers a rich research experience in the biomedical sciences, mentoring by renowned experts, and preparation for enrollment in rigorous graduate training programs. These experiences will lead scholars to successful outcomes in graduate school and in the biomedical workforce.

Eligibility and requirements:

• U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or approved domestic applicants
• Bachelor’s degree holders earned no more than 36 months prior to applying
• Intend to apply to research-focused biomedical doctoral degree program (e.g. Ph.D.)
• Note: Only applicants that have not enrolled in a graduate program are eligible.
