We're getting ready to celebrate!

The May 2026 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 14, at 6:00 p.m. in the State Farm Center.

The Doctoral Hooding Ceremony is a wonderful opportunity for our doctoral degree recipients, along with faculty mentors, to celebrate their achievement in a university-wide setting. The ceremony includes comments from campus leaders, with deans from each college and school present to congratulate students on their achievements. The focus of the ceremony is the formal "hooding" of doctoral degree recipients, often by faculty advisers.

We look forward to celebrating our graduates along with family and friends at the in-person event and via the live stream that will be posted on this page the day of the event.

Additional information for participating graduates and their guests is posted on our Doctoral Hooding Registration and Event webpage.
