Note: this role is open only to students in the School of Information Sciences's Master of Science in Library and Information Sciences program. We are not able to hire anyone from other departments or programs into this role.

Skeuomorph Press (https://skeuomorph.ischool.illinois.edu) is seeking one Graduate Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. This on-campus role will focus on public engagement and instructional support, as well as advancing Skeuomorph's ongoing research projects. The GA will help staff the press’ open community hours, assist with visiting classes and workshops, and help plan other programming, such as our community print events. Ideal candidates will bring an interest in book history, book arts, archives, and/or public engagement. Prior experience with letterpress printing, risography, book binding, paper making, and similar are welcome, but training will be possible in necessary areas. This is an in-person, 25% GA position. Ideally, we will hire someone who can apprentice with our continuing GA in 2026-2027 and then take leadership as the press' Assistant Director in subsequent semesters.
