Graduate Faculty at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign are at the heart of student success. Our Graduate Faculty develop and teach graduate-level courses, advise and mentor graduate students, serve on doctoral examination committees, and maintain high-quality graduate education for which Illinois is known.
The Graduate Faculty is comprised of faculty members who support graduate students through mentorship, serving on doctoral committees, and teaching graduate courses. All faculty members who are appointed to a tenure or tenure-track position are members of the Graduate Faculty. Others may be nominated for term membership by their home department; these requests are reviewed by the Graduate College. Requesting Updates to the Graduate Faculty Database
New faculty members are automatically added to the database shortly after their appointment begins at the University.
Departments wishing to change an appointment or nominate a University of Illinois Urbana Champaign faculty or staff member for membership should do so through Graduate Faculty Update Request form. This form is accessible to Contacts, Executive Officers, and Directors of Graduate Study.
