It is produced by the Graduate College and distributed every Sunday to graduate students, staff and faculty who work with graduate students.

Submission Process

GradLINKS is moving into Webtools just like Eweek (for fac/staff) and iNews (for undergraduates)! We are very excited about the change.

Submit entries via Webtools.

  • Log into Webtools with your NetID and password: https://webtools.illinois.edu/
  • Go to the "More" tab in the upple right corner and you'll find GradLINKS in the drop-down menu.
  • Fill out the submission form and hit submit! You'll get a confirmation for submission and once we approve (or reject) you'll get a second notification.
  • The types of content we will run remains mostly the same (see our guidelines below). There are, however, a few formatting changes. The main portion of your post must be 600 characters or less, including any hyperlinks within the text, including those that are embedded. Bullet points will no longer be used. Readers prefer short blocks of information that is succinct and easy to scroll.
  • The deadline for submission will be noon on the Friday prior to distribution.
  • Two new features are the ability to link the location to the campus map and the ability to indicate if something is available remotely, such as an online workshop or posted video resource.

If you have any questions, please contact us at gradlinks@illinois.edu

GUIDELINES

  • Entries must be of relevance to graduate students broadly.
  • We do not advertise sales or discounts from off-campus vendors for graduate students.
  • We do not run items during back-to-back weeks or repeat information. If you’d like an item to be included in more than one issue, please tailor your message, for example, “Registration Opening” and “Registration Closing”.

If you have any questions, please contact the Graduate College at 244-5616. We are happy to help you reach out to graduate students.
