Negotiating a Job Offer

According to negotiation experts Robin Pinkley and Gregory Northcraft, only about 25 percent of job applicants attempt to negotiate. But virtually all employers agree that it is appropriate to negotiate if it is done professionally. So don’t be afraid of the negotiation process.  The employer wants you (they wouldn’t have offered you the job otherwise) and you want to be sure you are accepting a position where you can thrive.

Understanding job offers and being ready to negotiate will set you up for success in your career. Use this section to learn about evaluating and negotiating job offers.
