Our distinguished awards augment departmental resources, providing the competitive edge to recruit and support outstanding graduate students.

Graduate College Fellowships are highly competitive, but are not discipline specific.

Recruiting Fellowships

The Graduate College's long-standing Illinois Distinguished Fellowship program improves the ability of departments to recruit applicants of the highest caliber by providing funds to match or exceed multi-year financial aid packages offered by other institutions.

Completion Fellowships

Graduate College Dissertation Completion Fellowships are designed to help outstanding students complete the doctoral degree in a timely fashion by providing a one-year stipend, a full waiver of tuition, service fee, health service fee, AFMFA fee, Library fee, as well as basic dental and vision coverage. In addition, the Fellow will receive partial payment of the graduate student health insurance fee per semester. The intent is to free Fellows from assistantships and other such obligations, allowing them to devote themselves full-time to the completion of the dissertation. This fellowship can have a profound impact on students in the final stage of their graduate studies.

Illinois Professional Science Master's Scholarships

The Graduate College directs the Illinois Professional Science Master’s, a degree that blends science with business. This new degree prepares students to assume leadership roles in industry, government or business. Scholarships are needed to ensure equal access. Visit http://psm.illinois.edu
