Postdoctoral Research Associates

Many postdoctoral research associates are eligible for benefits, including health insurance. If you are uncertain about your eligibility for benefits, contact the human resources person in your department. 

Postdoctoral Fellows

Postdoctoral fellows are not eligible for health insurance benefits through the State of Illinois.

Faculty/Staff Assistance Program

The University of Illinois’ Faculty/Staff Assistance Services offers free, personal, professional, and confidential assistance to faculty, staff, retirees, and members of their household who are experiencing problems that interfere with their personal well-being or their ability to work.

Campus Recreation

All postdoctoral scholars may purchase memberships to use the Campus Rec services, including the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) and Campus Recreation Center East (CRCE).
