Going on the faculty job market soon? Join us for valuable advice from our Career Development staff and from faculty who have served on search committees. This afternoon event includes presentations, hands-on activities, and a panel that will get you ready to apply this fall.
This event will be hybrid, in the Graduate College (507 E. Green St.) and on Zoom. Coffee and snacks will be provided for in-person attendees.

- Introduction to the Faculty Job Search + Faculty Panel (2:00 - 3:30 PM)
- This session provides an overview of the faculty job search process, including timelines, finding job postings, common application materials, time management strategies, and more.

- Thinking Like a Search Committee + Interactive Cover Letter Workshop (3:30 - 5:00 PM)
- This interactive session takes you behind the scenes of a faculty search, putting you in the role of search committee to explore what makes cover letters effective. You will also learn more about reading faculty job ads and crafting your message as a candidate.
Faculty Job Search Advising
Before or after you attend the Faculty Job Search Retreat, meet with a Graduate College career advisor to strategize, develop and revise application materials, and more.
