Director of Graduate Study (DGS): The DGS, usually a faculty member, is responsible for decisions about a graduate program. The DGS is the Graduate College's first contact for academic matters related to students in a unit’s graduate program, and receives regular email communications from the Graduate College with information about policy, procedures and events affecting graduate education on the Urbana campus.
A DGS is named by the Executive Officer of a unit using the GC Roles and Access Manager.
